THE ROOF'S CONSTRUCTION

DIMENSIONS OF THE ROOF'S SIDE: The EDILCENTRO ceramic tiles can be monted in every side of roof with a length that ranges from 9 to 10 metters, in case the length is larger it is adviced to insert e second tube for the collection of waters.

INCLINATION: For the placement of the portuguese brick it is required to have a minimum inclination of 30%. If the inclination is more than 50%, in areas with heavy wind, the elements can be fixed by nails or steal threads.

MONTING: A regular placement of the tiles can be achieved by monting the roofs over an apropriate supporter. It can be over an woden supporter of 4x4 m fixed in paralel with the line of the roof's arc, separating it every 3-4 metters for a few centimeters to adjust the air flow.

The axis between the supporter should be appropriate for the kind of tile that is used and these are verified in the factory before its usage and monting.

The first supporter, close to the arc, should be at least 2cm higher than the others in order to guarantee a correct inclination of the first row of the tiles which has no other row underneath.

The first row of the tiles should be 7-8 cm away from the water collector.
